Transport Teacher Needed at Vreta Education Center

Region Östergötland operates three schools, which are gathered in a unit under the Regional Development Committee.

Vreta Education Center is located just outside Linköping, Himmelstalund Education Center is located in Norrköping, and Lunnevads Folk High School is situated between Vikingstad and Mantorp.

At Vreta Education Center, the Agricultural Program offers specializations in agriculture, equestrian studies, and forestry, as well as the Vehicle and Transport Program's transport specialization. National Sports Education (NIU) is offered in equestrian sports (dressage or jumping). Vocational adult education and higher vocational education are available in agriculture, equestrian studies, and forestry. The adapted upper secondary school offers the national program in Forest, Land, and Animals.

Job Description

The Transport Education at Vreta Education Center is looking for a transport teacher to cover a parental leave. The assignment involves teaching vehicle and transport courses in the Vehicle and Transport Program's transport specialization, primarily in year 2. Plan and conduct theoretical lessons in driving theory B/C and YKB (Professional Competence Certificate), as well as supervise students on the road for driving licenses B and C. You should be familiar with registering and working in digital systems. You must have a driving license for C-class; having a CE license is an advantage. Experience in teaching as a driving instructor or transport teacher is a plus.

Work Group

You will be organizationally part of the Transport Unit at Vreta Education Center, which consists of teachers, instructors, mentors, and student assistants.

About You

You should have experience and a strong interest in teaching young people both theoretically and practically and want to ensure that all students are given the opportunity to develop according to their abilities. You are pedagogically inclined and can meet students both individually and in groups. You are flexible, goal-oriented, and can take initiative. You are good at collaborating and have a professional approach. We prefer that you have a pedagogical education. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability to perform the above-described tasks. You should be easy to collaborate with others, work in teams, and have a good view of students and actively work for the school's values.
